What’s the product?

Incredibly luxurious single origin dark chocolate, for serious chocolate-lovers – there’s the Dark Chocolate (68%), deep and intense with flavours of red fruits and roasted coffee, and the Dark Milk Chocolate (55%), which is rich, creamy and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Who’s behind it?

Steph and Nick, a couple based in the village of Timsbury, just outside Bath.

What’s the story?

Steph and Nick both studied Food Science at Bath Spa University, and have recently returned to the area after a decade working in the food industry – Nick as a food product developer, and Steph in food marketing and quality assurance. It was always their dream to start a small food business, built on high quality ingredients with lots of opportunity to experiment with flavour, no room for shortcuts and plenty of science; all of which craft chocolate has in abundance! Nick and Steph believe in an honest and ethical supply chain, working with suppliers who build respectful partnerships with cacao farmers at the point of origin, to ensure fair pricing, sustainable conservation and good working conditions.

Why we love it…

At TOB we’re passionate believers that artisan food and drink, made with love and the best ingredients, tastes better – and Green Door Chocolate are definitely proof of this! Their Dark Milk Chocolate bar is a particular favourite of MD Helen Rich, combining the gorgeous deep flavours of dark chocolate with the creaminess of milk chocolate.
