2020: Our Highlights

It’s hard to put this year into words, really – it’s been hugely challenging for all of us in so many different ways, and it feels like a very long time ago that we were going into January unaware of what 2020 would hold! Throughout it all, though, our wonderful customers have been there to support us, and the very first thing we want to say is a massive THANK YOU to all of you.

This year has been immensely tough on small businesses, so we are truly grateful for every single one of your orders, all of which have helped to support our family of small independent producers – and in turn, their families too. In spite of it all, we’ve sold over 10,000 hampers this year, and more than ever we’ve seen you sharing the love through our care packages, which makes us very happy!

With your help, we’ve also raised £1400 for our charity partners, FareShare South West, whose work providing food for those who might otherwise go hungry has never been more vital. We were incredibly proud to make that donation and we quite literally could not have done it without you, so thank you for helping us to help some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

In the midst of everything else, the Taste of Bath team also found time to create and launch our stunning new website, and add 11 brilliant new producers to the Taste of Bath family – it was a massive group effort, but we hope you’ll all agree it was absolutely worth it for a fabulous new and much-improved shopping experience! Throughout the whole process we were focused on making things even better for our customers, so if you were one of the many people who filled out our customer survey, thank you so much for all your feedback and suggestions.

And we’ve ended the year on a high with our busiest Christmas ever, selling out earlier than ever before – at Taste of Bath, we’re used to busy Christmasses, but we’ve truly been blown away by your support this year! As well as all the individual hampers tucked under the tree for Christmas Day, we’ve also created hundreds of hampers for our business clients to say a big thank you to their hardworking teams, and it gives our hamper elves a lovely warm glow to think of all those goodies bringing you a little much-needed Christmas cheer.

Our final thank you must go to all those busy hamper elves and everyone else behind the scenes at Taste of Bath – we really do have an amazing team, and everyone has worked so hard during this very strange year. Here’s hoping that 2021 is a little bit less dramatic, eh?

Stay safe, look after each other, and a very Merry Christmas to you all!
