It’s that time of the year again – at Taste of Bath HQ we’re gearing up for Christmas, our busiest period of the year, and assembling a dream team to ensure that you can discover and buy our fabulous hampers online or in person (come and say hi at the Bath Christmas Market!) with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of deliciousness. Meet the team behind the magic…
Helen Rich: Founder
None of us would be here without Helen, Taste of Bath’s founder. Having worked as a food producer herself, making deeply scrumptious pate, she set up Taste of Bath in 2015 to help small producers find a wider customer base – and to make it easier for foodies to discover amazing treats online. She’s a whirlwind of activity, personally involved in every aspect of the business, and no product makes it into our hampers without her carefully considered approval.
Emma Boatman: Admin Assistant
Better known as Helen’s admin fairy, Emma keeps the whole Taste of Bath operation running smoothly with her incredible organisational skills. She’s never to be seen without a notebook in hand or a list to tick off, and really comes into her own over Christmas as she thrives on a challenge. And it’s not just us who think she’s brilliant – her business, Boatman Admin Services, was recently recognised in the #smallbiz100 awards 2018, a national award for SMEs.
Sal Godfrey: Content Writer
That’s me – hello! I’m in charge of Taste of Bath’s blog, including creating delicious recipes starring some of the most fabulous products from our hampers, and I also write newsletters, press releases, web content and anything else required – Helen calls me her wordsmith. I work with plenty of brilliant local businesses, including lots of foodies, and can also be found writing my own blog all about food and drink in Bath, with reviews, recipes and news, which is how Helen and I met.
Jamie FitzHenry: IT Wizard
Jamie’s in charge of the Taste of Bath website, keeping everything updated with Helen’s latest scrumptious discoveries, my blog posts, and more. He’s the founder of Bristol based digital agency, Grizzly, and specialises in helping his clients enhance their online presence through bespoke web design and digital marketing services.
Mike James: Christmas Market Manager
Mike will be joining the team for Christmas 2018, to manage Taste of Bath’s presence at the Bath Christmas Market. He runs fabulous food tour business Savouring Bath, so he’s an expert on local food and drink, and has previously worked at the Christmas Market for other local companies – so he knows the market back to front and is the ideal man on the ground for Taste of Bath. Make sure you drop by and say hello to Mike and his team from the 22nd of November to the 9th of December!
Stuart Veall: Warehouse Manager
Stuart will also be joining us for Christmas 2018, taking on the heroic task of managing all the hampers once you have ordered – Stuart and his team will be our Christmas elves behind the scenes, packing up each order. The rest of the year, Stuart runs Mini Bean Coffee, an event coffee business starring an incredible tiny coffee bar in the back of a mini (see it on their website here) – he’s passionate about local speciality producers, thrives on a deadline and unsurprisingly, loves a coffee, all of which will stand him in good stead for our crazy Christmas season.
So there you have it – Team Taste of Bath 2018! We’re looking forward to our best Christmas yet and we have some fabulous new projects and plans in the works alongside all our usual bestsellers – so watch this space…
